Winning had to feel great year after year for Col. Jacob Ruppert, but watching his stars sign bigger and bigger contract had to be a little uncomfortable. Here Lou Gehrig signs his latest contract with the Yankees before the start of the 1935 season and Ruppert looks like he is less than thrilled to see so much of his money leaving his pockets! He would get every bit of it out of Gehrig though as the Yankee slugger had another huge year. A rare image from the International News and stamped on the back, there are relatively few images of Gehrig signing his contracts compared to Ruth and this one is in overall nice condition with a small rip on the left side. The look on Ruppert's face is priceless!
