Baseball history is filled with unknowns, guys who went to spring training and worked out with teams, only to be lost to history. Here we find a grizzled veteran, certainly no rookie, in uniform with the 1910 Chicago Cubs. He was good enough to get a jersey and pose for a photographer, but the name "Angemeir" appears nowhere in any baseball history books. Lost to history, he could have been a promising player who failed to make the grade, or a guy they hauled in to throw some batting practice, but these research projects are fun and this one is loaded with possibilities!
