Hilltop Park was the iconic home of the New York Highlanders (Yankees) for the first decade of the twentieth century. Images of the ballpark are highly sought after and every aspect of the field has been researched to death. What is mostly lost to history is that between 1903-1911 there were roughly (40) football games played at the field, with this being the only visual remnant from the field retro-fitted for the gridiron that we have ever seen. The three famous apartment building in center field dominate the landscape, cementing the location as Hilltop Park, but beyond that, the exact date and game are unknown. It is likely a 1905 contest by the Brown brothers stamp on the back. A new discovery that is sure to excite fans of the Yankees and collectors of Hilltop park, this is being offered individually for the first time ever and presents beautifully! An important piece of baseball history!
