Massive 1912 double weight silver gelatin photograph of nine starters for the two teams heading into the World Series, the Red Sox and Giants. Subject aside, this is one of the largest and highest quality baseball photographs from the era we have ever seen as it is crystal clear and bold with inset portraits of each player on both squads. Led by Hall of Famers Christy Mathewson, Harry Hooper, and Tris Speaker there are also superstars like Smoky Joe Wood and Chief Meyers as well. One of the finer vintage composite photographs we have handled, this is almost certainly a unique survivor and it presents well with some light creasing and chipping from handling over the last 109 years!
