Sweeping 1958 horizontal action photograph of Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle as he hits the deck to avoid being hit by a pitch in a pre-season exhibition game against the Phillies. He would dust himself off and homer on the next pitch! From a rare game at Yankee Stadium against the Phillies as a final tune up before the regular season started, this is a unique new discovery from famous photographer Charles Hoff and the reverse carries a detailed paper caption from the photographer. Condition is nice with one very small corner rip, but it looks and feels like a perfect 10/10! A unique piece of Mantle history that tells a classic baseball story!
