When the Beatles showed up for their photo session on August 22, 1969 at Tittenhurst Park (the home of John and Yoko) they had no way of knowing this would be their last! Their styles and personal lives were changing and the writing was on the wall, but everyone thought there was still time to maybe fix things. An important image that absolutely dates to 1969 by the several stamps on the back, this is the ONLY image from this final session we have ever handled and it is a fantastic, clear example that is one of their most important images ever offered. John is holding his wide brim hat while George has hung his on the wall with Ringo and Paul relaxing in the doorway of the stately manor. The photo has some wear at the bottom border from publication and a hard crease (possibly even a rip) at the top which has been repaired with tape on the back. Of all the photos we have sold of the Beatles, this might be the greatest we have handled, certainly the rarest and most important!
