Beautiful image dating to either 1917 or 1918 and showing Bill Killefer in uniform and showing off his catching form. It is impossible to tell if this is Killefer with the Phillies or Cubs but it was clearly used as a member of the Cubs as that is the team identification on the back. Taken by photographer J.R. Schmidt who is one of the most underrated photographer of his era.
