Johnny Evers is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame as much for his "intangibles" as for his stats, he was the most respected field leader among the thousands of players from his generation and in many ways was the face of the game. He is best remembered as the key member of the "Tinker to Evers to Chance" Chicago Cubs of the early 1900's but it is often forgotten that his finest work came as the leader of the 1914 "Miracle Braves" which is where we find him here. Adorned in his 1914 Braves uniform, Evers holds his follow through for the camera in a photo that is dated on the back from October 1914. The condition and quality of the photograph are both quite nice.
