1923 Sweeping horizontal photograph of Hall of Famer Babe Ruth from the New York Yankees as he crosses home plate after belting a home run in the World Series against the New York Giants. An important piece of photography as it was taken during the first ever Yankees title. Ruth is being met by hunchback batboy Eddie Bennett who is offering his congratulations to the great "Bambino" on his massive clout. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a paper caption, this is one of the most historically significant images of Ruth we have handled.
