Originally dated Feb 9, 1918 George Grantham Bain photo of Miller Huggins the "new" Yankees Manager. Significant image shows the moment the Yankees dynasty took shape as Huggins sits behind a desk full of papers with one of them presumably being his contract. It is hard to imagine the Yankees of Ruth and Gehrig during the 1920's without their peerless leader Miller Huggins. This is the only image of his hiring we have ever seen and its a beauty by one of the most prominent photographers of the era. Condition is nice with a couple of minor corner chips but the image itself is flawless. Reverse has a great caption from Bain and it is fully stamped and dated. Historic Image from the greatest team of all time!
