1914 Portrait photograph of rookie Harry Heilmann in uniform with the Detroit Tigers and posing at the ballpark as a fresh faced kid just hoping to get a job in the big leagues. He would end up one of the greatest hitters of all time, and one of the most underrated sluggers to ever play the game. A fantastic image in and of itself, the fact that this one was taken by famous photographer Charles Conlon only adds to it's importance in the hobby. Photograph is clean and precise with Conlon's stamp and handwritten notes on the back cementing it's provenance, the image also comes with a full letter from PSA (Type 1) which is a nice touch. Without a doubt, the finest and most important image of Harry Heilmann that has ever hit the market!
