The catch Sandy Amaros made during the seventh and final game of the 1955 World Series is one of the most famous moments in baseball history. It has gone down in history as one of the finest plays in baseball and was immeditaley recognized as the play that saved the Dodgers. So famous was the catch that when Amaros arrived at Spring Training the next year (1956) photographers had him re-create the event in front of the banner that noted their championship from the year before. This is the only example of this amazing image we have ever seen and it is being offered here for the first time ever! Condition and quality are both essentially perfect.
