Large October 8, 1951 oversized display piece of the New York Yankees team as it was announced they had won the American League pennant. Young Mickey Mantle is pictured fifth from the right in the middle row, days away from a career altering injury. This was a poster used to promote the newspapers in the area and in many ways, it is a huge baseball card as it carries an advertisement for an insurance company on the bottom. One of the few documented 1951 Yankee images out there in any form and this one is very nice considering the paper construction and large size!
