Exceptional and large c. 1932 studio photograph of superstar Baseball Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig in formal attire. Large and bold, this is among the best images of Gehrig ever taken away from the ballpark and the condition is fantastic. The use of dark background and bright face only accentuates the artistic feel of this masterpiece of photography. The photo is one of a series done by agent Christy Walsh of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig for promotional purposes with this being one of only two known of the Gehrig images we have ever seen. The condition is essentially perfect as is the clarity, amking this an investment quality 10/10!
