Taken on the eve of the first ever World Series for the New York Yankees, here we see the lonely Mrs. Babe Ruth at home among her doll collection as her husband was off belting homers and probably spending time with other women! The stories of Ruth and his carrousing were legendary, and by all accounts Mrs. Ruth knew all about it and was left helpless at home. Her collection of dolls must have been a release for her. Stamped on the back by noted photographer Bob Dorman, this is an unusual photograph from early in Ruth's career with the Yankees that is being offered here for the first time ever!
