Extremely rare 1978-79 photograph of young Larry Bird from Indiana State University taking some questions from reporters after he lost the NCAA title game against Michigan State and Magic Johnson. A unique new discovery, this is one of the only college photographs of Bird we have ever seen and it presents beautifully with Bird seemingly devestated over the loss, a competetive fire that would burn bright over the next twenty years in the NBA. Photo has some wear from nws-room use and a bit of crazing from age, but this is perhaps the finest photograph of Bid from college out there!
