Exceptional and large c. 1932 studio photograph of superstar Baseball Hall of Famer Babe Ruth in formal attire. Large and bold, this is among the best images of Ruth ever taken away from the ballpark and the condition is pretty nice with some handling wear from being in a news-room. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, this captures the stoic baseball star like few ever taken and this masterpiece of photography is similar to the famous "eyes" by Charles Conlon. The photo was famously used by agent Christy Walsh of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig for promotional purposes with this being one of only known Ruth images we have ever seen.
