1910 Silver gelatin photograph of Ty Cobb from the Detroit Tigers sliding hard back into first base after a pick-off attempt in a game that appears was against the Chicago White Sox (they were the only team that wore white sox and a white hat). The image captures the greatest player in the game and showing off the often overlooked aspect of his game, his speed on the bases. A crisp and clean original in great shape, the photo lacks stampings but it has been thoroughly examined by the experts at PSA for paper composition and it has been deemed a "Type 1" and comes with a full letter of authenticity. One of the greatest action photographs of Cobb on the planet and this unique specimen is a beautiful, museum quality work of baseball art!
