You would think a career .295 average, world series rings, and a triple crown would get you some respect but if your name Was Heinie Zimmerman you barely get mentioned among the greatest hitters of his era. He played for some great teams and had a monster year in 1912 in which he led the National League in basically everything, but Zimmerman remains an "under the radar" cult figure in the history of the game today instead of one of its stars. The offered photograph is a really beautiful early posed action photo in uniform with the Chicago Cubs and taken by rock star photographer Paul Thompson and stamped on the back. Condition and quality make this a perfect 10/10 cementing it's spot as one of the greatest images of Zimmerman ever offered.
