1912 Sweeping photograph of the New York Giants in uniform and taken in September on the eve of the World Series against the Boston Red Sox. The image is from the archives of Underwood and Underwood and presents perfectly with deep clarity and off the original negative. While not dated, this is likely a late 1910's example that is over a 100 year old specimen. What is interesting about this image is that it was taken, then a photograph of Rube Marquard was artfully added at the center by the original photographer which makes it (under our rules) a vintage 1 example as it fits within the category of "photographers intent", or the finished product he issued to the public. A unique new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever!
