Among all of Babe Ruth's epic accomplishments on the diamond, the one HE called the biggest thrill of his life was the final game of the 1928 World Series when he cracked three home runs in sinking the St. Louis Cardinals. The offered image shows the Bambino crossing the plate after his second Home Run and was congratulated by Lou Gehrig at Home Plate (who also hit a home run in the next at-bat). Condition is nice overall with a couple light creases on the upper left corner and the image is tamped on the back by the International News. Paper caption noted the fact that this was the second of Ruth's homers in the game. We have sold a similar example of this photograph before but not this exact pose with this being the only example known.
