Fantastic April 20, 1906 action photograph from opening day at the Polo Grounds showing Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan caught in a run down against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Seen here wearing their famous "World Champions" jerseys, this is one of the finest early action photos ever taken, a full four years before the famed "Ty Cobb Sliding" by Charles Conlon which people incorrectly refer to as the first sports action photo. Condition is pretty nice and it is one of the earliest known action photographs from a major league game we have ever handled!
