1938 Detailed close up photograph of Yankees hall of Famer Lou Gehrig from his last full season in the big leagues. Some of the original paper caption exists amid a sea of other stamps and is dated late in the season. One of the better images of the "Iron Horse" that we have offered and condition is pretty nice with some mild handling wear and one small crease on the far right border. This photo sold for $1175 in our July 2015 auction!
