1920's Crystal clear photograph of Ty Cobb in uniform with the Detroit Tigers, shortly before being traded to the Philadelphia Athletics and demonstrating his split-grip batting form for the camera. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back, this is from their files and is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen. The clarity and quality of the image is among the best Cobb photographs we have ever handled and despite some wear to the lower left corner, it is a fantastic work of baseball art. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest images of Cobb ever taken and it is being offered here for the first time ever!
