Lot Description  

1926 Portrait photo of George "Specs" Toporcer in full uniform for the St. Louis Cardinals. One of the first ballplayers to wear glasses on the field as an infielder, Toporcer was also a key member of two World Series teams the Cardinals produced in 1926 and 1928. An incredible portrait photo taken by Charles Conlon and stamped on the back along with handwritten notes and signature as well, this is a fine condition example.
