Nothing speaks to the outlaw era of the 1930's like the iconic duo of Bonnie and Clyde, young lovers turned criminals in a sort of love inspired "Robin Hood" that captivated the World. Clamoring for any information about the duo, the American Public got just what it wanted on April 17, 1933 when a home that was raided by the Police turned up this photograph of the couple. Many believe the image was taken and left intentionally to mock the police! It instantly became the most famous photograph of the couple ever taken! The offered image was issued by Wide World Photos and it is only the second "Original" we have ever seen offered publicly! Condition is beautiful and this is a true piece of American history and sure to be the cornerstone of even the most advanced photo collection. This example is dated 1934 and the paper caption talks about the duo being killed "today." A similar photograph sold in our June 2014 auction for over $1800!
