1905 Silver gelatin photograph of members of the World Series champion New York Giants. John McGraw sits front and center looking youthful and ready to take the field if needed and surrounded by his players including Joe McGinnity, Dummy Taylor, Roger Bresnahan, Red Ames and others. This is a known photo by famous photographer Charles Conlon and is a 1920's re-strike from Underwood and Underwood. Conlon is believed to have shared this negative with the company while he was working with them in 1927 and it carries their embossed file stamps, but it is off the original negative and is only about 20 years after the first copy was struck. An exceptional piece of photography with fans hanging over the fence to get their faces into the photo and also spend a moment with their baseball heroes! A fantastic image of one of the finest early teams of the deadball era from one of the greatest baseball photographers that ever lived!
