Large 1922 photograph of one of the handful of men who can be dubbed as pioneers of aviation, Glenn Curtiss as he poses in the cockpit of the first plane to fly across the Atlantic. Images of Curtiss are rare and this is one of the finest we have handled, large and off the original negative! Issued the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is a nice example with some wear at the corners affecting the technical grade but it looks almost perfect.
