Lot Description  

Original 1944 photograph of John Wayne entertaining troops aboard a battleship in WWII. Wayne is posing with one of the soldiers he was performing for, this is a unique image in great shape that has never been seen by the general public before and has never been published! Images of Wayne during WWII are rare as he was looked at as a draft dodger and the subject was a sore spot for him. Note on the back clearly identifies the actor in the hand of the soldier whose scrapbook this was pulled from!
