1935 Portrait photograph of Wild Bill Cummings taken as he looked to repeat as the winner at the Indianapolis 500. He almost pulled off the feat, finishing third this year. Cummings would tragically die in 1939 in an auto accident, but not on the track. He drove off a bridge into a creek! A rare image in great shape and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
