From 1910-1923 Rube Marquard was one of the top pitchers in baseball. The end came quick for the Hall of Famer though as he was relegated to part time and then no time at all by 1925. Here we find old Rube in 1927 trying one last time to dig deep and find something that might land him one last spot on the New York Giants roster. It didn't work, and that makes this his last photo in a major league uniform. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption.
