Rare 1925 photograph of the great slugger Babe Ruth as he was rushed to the hospital after collapsing with what would go down in history as "The Bellyache Heard Round the World." Some speculate he had a VD, but regardless of the actual diagnosis, it was the low point of his career and many thought he would be done. Ruth rallied however and his best years were ahead. A rare image from one of the most important and infamous periods in the career of the greatest player in baseball history. Issued by the Acme and stamped on the back, the newspaper article was removed but it comes with a nice vintage tag the describes the photo from a few years later.
