1918 Large batting photograph of Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox as he watches one sail away. The original was taken by Charles Conlon and this one is a slightly later re-strike from about the 1940's-1950's. It appears to be off the original negative and is very clear, but it is impossible to be 100% sure with only part of the photo to examine and without any Conlon handwriting as it was issued after he died. It was from the archives of the Sporting News and they had Conlon's negatives so it is likely this was done straight off the glass plate and then heavily die cut for publication after Conlon's lifetime. A nice example that will set you back less than 1% of a full sized original from 1918!
