1920 Statuesque batting photograph of the greatest right handed hitter who ever lived, Rogers Hornsby in full uniform for the St. Louis Cardinals. Hornsby was well on his way to a Hall of Fame career when this image was captured, but he was still in the midst of capturing his FIRST batting title! Taken by photographer Charles Conlon and the reverse carries his handwritten notes. For our money this is the best Hornsby out there and it captures the action with tremendous artistic appeal and accuracy! Condition is pretty nice with some pinholes at the corners and the clarity is exceptional! Photo carries handwritten notes and a signature on the back from Conlon.
