Large c. 1917 (based on our uniform research) batting photograph of Hall of Famer Harry Heilmann. Taken during the beginning stages of his career where he was a very average hitter, it would be another four years before he REALLY burst on the scene! A large silver gelatin photograph from photographer Paul Thompson and stamped on the back, this is one of his finest images we have ever handled. Photo quality is perfect with a few light creases and some light corner chips, this photo comes with a full letter from PSA identifying this as a "Type 1" as well. We have always thought Heilmann is one of the most undervalued Hall of Famers out there and look for his images regularly. As such, we can state with confidence that this is one of the top five examples of his photography out there!
