Large 1940's photograph of a tense moment in which Yankees general manager Ed Barrow and Babe Ruth were seated next to each other at a dinner. The two were close when Barrow was Ruth's boss in New York, but the tension of Ruth leaving drove a wedge between them that is clearly evident in this photo. Stamped on the back by William C. Greene, this is a fine image that tells a story without using a single word!
