Stunning 1953 studio photograph of Marilyn Monroe from her famous "White Fur Photo Session" by noted photographer Frank Powolny. A spectacular clear and sexy image of the greatest and most well known actresses of all time. One of the most important photo sessions Marilyn ever did, this is a classic example simulating that she is nude with the exception of her pearl necklace and fur. Photo has exceptional quality and this is one of the few originals we have seen from this session. The photo is clearly old and off the original negative, carrying the stamps at the bottom from the studio. It is hard to pinpoint the exact date this image was issued as 20th Century Fox issued this to newspapers and periodicals over a period of several years while Marilyn was active and she worked off and on with 20th Century Fox up until the day she died. This would likely have been issued in the late 1950's and as such we are calling it a "vintage 2" but it could easily be within the five year window making this a bargain for the collector willing to try and pinpoint an earlier date on this photos release. It is clear and exceptionally clean with a few light creases and a tiny rip on the far left side from publication and news-room use.
