1931 Posed action photograph of Hall of Famer Al Simmons of the Philadelphia Athletics as he kneels over with his hands on his knees and posing for a photographer from the International News. Immediately recognizable to baseball card fans, this is the image that was used to make his famous Diamond Stars baseball card (#2 in the set) and this is the ONLY example of this photograph we have ever seen in original form. Despite a fold line (not really a crease and could be flattened out by a conservator) this presents well and the clarity is really nice. An important card from the set, this is one of the better baseball card images we have offered in some time.
