The 1952 Dallas Texans were the first professional entry for the state of Texas in football. Hopes were high, but the team was bad. They did serve the purpose though of breaking the ice and making the future of the NFL in Texas a reality, one that would culminate with the Dallas Cowboys coming to town down the road. Anything associated with the Dallas Texans is quite rare as they only lasted one season and were BAD! The offered lot consists of (10) perfect condition studio images of members of this team, including two young men who would end up in Canton as members of the NFL Hall of Fame. Lot includes photographs of Art Donovan, Mike McCormick, Ross Nagel, Bob Celeri, Art Tait, Joe Reid, Dick Hoerner, Darrell, Meisenheimer, Billy Baggett, and Bob Celeri (Different pose). Each is in nice shape overall and they are all issued by the Squire Haskins Studio of Dallas and stamped on the back. This is an exciting lot of images that are rarely found together like this!
