Joe Doyle is well known in the world of baseball collectibles as the man behind the famed T206 baseball card rarity that can sell for nearly a million dollars. Two years before the card was inserted into cigarette packs, he was a part-time pitcher for the New York Yankees (Highlanders) and that is where this rare early photo captures him. A cool photo showing Doyle from head to toe and sporting a cool old Yankees warm-up sweater that is void of any lettering or logos! Issued by Spooner and Wells, this is a rare image, almost certainly unique, and one that we have never seen before dating to only the fifth year of the Yankees franchise!
