Incredible 1927 posed photograph at the ballpark of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig as they pose in their iconic "Bustin' Babes" and "Larrupin' Lous" uniforms for the first time ever (at Yankee Stadium). While most of the images from this tour are action images, snapshots from fans, or playful photos, this is a posed shot along with the man who put the tour together, Christy Walsh as the tour was first being announced to the public. An important piece of photography that pre-dates a single game Ruth and Gehrig played in, this was issued by the International News and bears a stamp and a full paper caption on the back as well. This is the absolute finest image of Ruth and Gehrig from 1927 we have offered and it is the best in their barnstorming uniforms we have ever seen!
