The 1927 Yankees were filled with big bats and big names. Cedric Durst was not one of those. A quality player who was an important cog in the wheel of the Murderers Row squad, Durst flew under the radar of opposing pitchers and of the photographers whose job it was to chronicle the game. As such not many images of Durst are known to exist and this is one of the best! Taken the year before he joined the Yankees, this captures Durst in uniform with the St. Louis Browns. Issued by Acme and with a full paper caption on the back, the photo is high grade (10/10) and presents extremely well!
