Ralph Branca was one of the best pitchers of the 1950's and a key piece of the Brooklyn Dodgers dynasty. Before he was any of that, he was a young NYU college student with a promising arm. Seen here performing a chemistry experiment in college a full four years before his rookie card, he had already joined the Dodgers! A fantastic early photo by Hugh Broderick and issued through the International News.
