Original July 2, 1941 action photograph of Joe DiMaggio as he belts a home run against the Boston Red Sox. Not just any hit, this was the one that took his hitting streak to 45 games and set a new major league record in the process. He would of course hit in an additional eleven games to take it all the way to 56 before he was all said and done. Images from "the streak" are rare but this one, that broke the record, is an exceptional piece of baseball history. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back, the image remains in almost perfect condition as well.
