1923 Powerful photograph of Dorothy Davenport Reid, the widow of Wallace Reid who was the first major victim of drug abuse in Hollywood, as she appeared in all black and mourning for her lost husband. Reid was in Washington DC to talk about drug abuse to Congress and was one of the first to draw attention to the issue. A powerful image in nice shape overall, the photo presents well with some pinholes from editorial use.
