Charles Blair MacDonald is perhaps the father of American golf. He was an early champion, golf course engineer, and the most prominent man in the popularization of the game in the United States. It was only fitting that he posed for a photograph with the greatest American golfer of all time, Bobby Jones, in 1926 and on the Druid Hills course in Atlanta. Jones was just tapping into his potential and this is the only image we have ever seen of these two important figures together. From the archives of Underwood and Underwood, the photo is stamped on the back and has a full paper caption as well as an embossed "File Copy" stamp at the top. One of the most important early golf images we have ever handled and it is being offered here for the first time ever!
