1951 Large photograph of Brooklyn Dodgers left fielder Andy Pafko as he watches the famous "Shot Heard Round the World" sail into the left field seats at the Polo Grounds, giving Bobby Thomson and the Giants the National League pennant. While images of this event have surfaced, they almost always center around Thomson rounding the bases and celebrating at home plate with this example being the only of it's kind we have ever seen showing the spot where the ball landed! A work of baseball art, this is a c. 1960 example from the New York Daily News that is encapsulated by PSA (Type 2 1960's) and presents beautifully. This specimen almost fits into our range for a Vintage 1 and has about sixty five years of age to it! We know of no other examples of this photograph to have ever been offered, making this a true piece of baseball history!
