1942 Sweeping photograph of a Japanese plane that was shot down in the battle for the Solomon Islands. The photograph was taken on September 29, 1942 which places it just after the actual battle of Guadalcanal but the paper caption on the back mentions it was still part of the fighting. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, the photo presents in almost perfect condition.
