Rare 1931 photograph from one of the weirdest and somehow coolest meetings between stars ever. In London, spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi was in town for business and Chaplin asked to meet with him at the residence of Dr. Katial. Gandhi had never heard of Chaplin, but his friends informed him of his immense popularity and he agreed to meet with him. This is an extremely rare photograph from the event and comes with a stamp and full paper caption on the back from the International News. The photo has some discoloration at the top but otherwise it presents really well.
