1921 Photograph of young actress and free spirit Virginia Rappe issued after she had been found dead in a Hollywood hotel rented by comedian Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. The result of the incident was the first widely publicized sex scandal in Hollywood history and one that destroyed Arbuckle's career. The offered image of Rappe is perhaps the most seductive of her we have ever seen and it presents in nice shape with some pinholes and tracing from editorial use in a newspaper. One of the few originals we have ever seen, issued by Underwood and Underwood and comes from a prominent New York archive.
